Should Women Preach? The Devil Says No

The Biblical Case for Women In Ministry

Should women preach the gospel and testimony of Jesus Christ? Of course! What an absurd question. However, there is a growing movement, especially in the American church, that interprets certain Biblical passages in a way that would silence women in their gifts and callings. What does the Bible have to say about women in ministry?

It makes perfect sense that Satan would ‘bench’ half of God’s army by twisting the meaning of a few scriptures to sit them down and shut them up.”
– Alice Marchesani

Some denominations have sought to limit the role that women play in the Church. Some go so far as to forbid women from using or quoting scripture in the presence of men.

Our special guest for this topic, Alice Marchesani put it best this way: The root of this is doctrinal error is satanic for all of creation should sing God’s praises and preach His Words from the rising of the sun to the setting of the same. In the book of Acts that the Spirit fell on men AND women and ALL were prophesying? Paul the Apostle sent Phoebe, a woman, to deliver his letter to Christians in Rome. Whoever delivered a letter from Paul stayed with that body of believers to ANSWER QUESTIONS they might have about Paul’s letter. Phoebe was THAT PERSON. She wasn’t in the kitchen or teaching children’s church or cleaning toilets. She was in front of men and women, answering questions they might have had. In Romans 15, Paul calls Junia an “apostle of apostles”. The ESV version changed Junia to Junias because male translators couldn’t handle the fact that Junia was a woman so they deceptively came up with Junias. Consequently there is no male version of the name Junia. Satan hated Eve from the very beginning. He saw her as the source of more people having dominion over him and hatched a plan to take her and all of humanity down. Jesus thwarted that plan. So now, Satan has sought to infiltrate the body and come up with another evil strategy to eliminate the threat of millions of Spirit filled believers proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Chris:

How does one defeat an army? You take out as many of your opponents as you can. So it makes perfect sense that Satan would “bench” half of God’s army by twisting the meaning of a few scriptures to sit them down and shut them up.

Beware of ANY teaching that dehumanizes for the sake of dominating another human. JESUS IS PERFECT DOCTRINE and after all He sent a woman to proclaim His resurrection to His male disciples and that speaks over all “doctrines”.

Many have strongly held convictions and beliefs- join us as we dig in to the nitty gritty and lay bare the heart of God on this HOT topic in the body of Christ today!

Tom and Alice joined us this September in Plymouth at The Covenant, Restoring the Ancient Paths, Tom was a special guest speaker and Alice a descendant of the Mayflower. They have both become dear friends of ours.

Alice and Tom Marchesani “Rebuild the foundations, focusing on how early believers did life and how early America was established”. This is the directive Tom heard from God’s heart several years ago, and he has endeavored to be a faithful steward of this assignment. Tom Marchesani is a facilitator & teacher of Home Congregations following the model Jesus described in His definitive promise “I will build My ekklesia”. This word used was not “church” but “ekklesia”. This revelation of liberty in Christ caused a major identity shift which launched Tom into a season of learning and leading. As a former pastor in a non-denominational church, Tom now coaches others in leading Home Congregations locally and across America. Alice and Tom have been married for 35 years; they have a son and 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.

Is Paul speaking for the devil? Don’t think so. He actually says it’s a command from the Lord. Phoebe was a servant (deacon). It all goes back to the beginning. Did God really say? Obedience is better than sacrifice. Women can preach. To women. Not be elders of the church. Christ is the Husband. The church submits to Christ. That is the order of the church and family. It never says the elder must be the wife of one husband. The elder role is always masculine. Deacon or deaconess is both. (They)

Thanks for addressing this issue. It’s had me twisted in knots for years because I am called to prophetic ministry and I even have had someone tell me that I just wanted to be a pastor. No thanks too much pressure. All I heard was prophetic ministry. Now if the Holy Spirit says that, I’ll take it but not otherwise.
