Vladimir Putin gave a detailed and impassionate speech this week after the Annexation of four regions in Ukraine. Putin discusses the West and NATO’s expansion. His primary target is the West who, he says, is greedy and seeks to enslave and colonize other nations, like Russia. He hit on many cultural items like marriage and gender ideology. The West uses the power of finance and technology to enforce its will on other nations. To collect what he calls the “hegemon’s tax”. To this end the West destabilizes countries, creates terrorist enclaves and most of all seeks to deprive other countries of sovereignty.

German Federal Economy Minister Robert Habeck expressed concern over the looming energy crisis this winter, telling German media that the situation was extremely tense and there is a possibility that Germany may run out of gas. Habeck spoke on Friday, appealing to Germans to reduce their consumption of natural gas ahead of this winter a day after the German government launched a new price break programme to help Germans with the rising costs of energy. The new price break policy will cover 80 per cent of regular consumption in a bid to try and get Germans to use less gas and make the scenario of shortages less likely. “For the upper 20 per cent of normal consumption, you will certainly have to pay the full bill,” Habeck told broadcaster Deutschlandfunk Radio, Reuters reports.– Breitbart

Following their strong election showing, the populist Sweden Democrats have landed the chairmanship of several important parliamentary committees including justice and foreign affairs. The Sweden Democrats (SD) have been able to secure the chairman position in the labor market committee, the business committee, the justice committee, and the foreign affairs committee, while also receiving the vice-chairmanship of the civil committee, the traffic committee, the defense committee, and the tax committee. Many on the Swedish left, however, have expressed displeasure that the populist party has been given the chair of so many important committees, the newspaper Expressen reports. “So a far-right party that could not choose between Putin and Biden should lead the foreign affairs committee and the defense committee. There is nothing that can go wrong in this,” Green Party spokeswoman Märta Stenevi remarked sarcastically– Breitbart
